What Friendminder does

Friendminder keeps you close to the people you already love. You choose a small private circle, give each person a rhythm — how often you'd like to reach out — and when someone comes due, Friendminder sends one gentle daily pulse. It is not a social network: no feed, no profiles, no strangers, and nobody knows they're in your circle but you.

Quick start

1. Build your circle. In the Circle tab, add your people — an Inner 5 and a Close 15. You can pick them from Contacts, or just type a name if you'd rather not share your address book.
2. Set each person's rhythm. In the Rhythms tab, choose how often you want to be in touch with each person. Rhythms are per person — a best friend and an old roommate don't need the same cadence.
3. Read the pulse. The Pulse tab shows who's due today. When someone comes due, the day's people arrive in a single gentle notification — never one alert per person.
4. Let First Bloom walk you in. Your first fourteen days are guided: one small act a day, about two minutes each. The day counter advances when you complete an act — skipping a day costs nothing — and you can hide First Bloom forever from the card itself.

Why didn't I get a notification for each person?

By design. Friendminder sends at most one gentle pulse a day, with everyone who's due gathered into it. A reminder app for your closest people shouldn't feel like a notification firehose.

I skipped a few days of First Bloom. Did I lose my progress?

No. First Bloom is paced by what you've done, not by the calendar: the day counter is the number of acts you've completed, plus one. Skipping costs nothing, there is no streak to break, and you can hide First Bloom forever if guided starts aren't your thing.

Is there a streak? A score? Can my friends see anything?

No, no, and no. There are no streaks, leaderboards, public profiles or feeds — those are ruled out on purpose, permanently. Your circle is private to your iPhone; the people in it are never told they're there.

Why does Friendminder ask for Contacts access?

Only so you can pick your people from your own address book instead of typing them. Limited Access works — share just the contacts you choose. If you decline entirely, you can add anyone by name. Contacts are never uploaded anywhere; Friendminder has no server to upload them to. Full detail: privacy.

What does Friendminder cost?

Nothing. The app is free, with no subscriptions, no ads, and no accounts to create.

The daily pulse isn't arriving.

Check iPhone Settings → Notifications → Friendminder and make sure notifications are allowed, and that Focus modes aren't silencing them. The pulse is scheduled on your iPhone itself, so it needs notification permission to appear.

Is there an iPad or Android version?

Friendminder is an iPhone app. There is no iPad, Android or web version.

Where is my data, and how do I delete it?

On your iPhone. No account, no server, nothing to sign into. Remove a person from the Circle tab; deleting the app removes everything Friendminder has stored. Full detail: privacy.
